In NSW, electrical wiring work has to be carried out by someone holding the right licence. You can check any tradesperson’s licence through Service NSW before you book them, and it takes about a minute.
CoolTech is licensed and insured. Cover is in place before anyone starts on site.

New Home Electrical
The electrical layout of a new home is decided once, early, and lived with for decades. Getting an electrician involved while the plans are still plans makes it far easier to coordinate before walls and finishes are complete.
Planning and layout
We work from your plans to set out lighting positions and controls, power points where furniture and benches will actually sit, and the circuits each area needs, so cabling goes in at the right stage of the build.
The switchboard, sized for the house
The board is planned around everything the home will run: general circuits, dedicated circuits for ovens and other fixed appliances, and the protection each one requires.
Air Conditioning, wired in from the start
Because CoolTech covers both trades, the Air Conditioning supply is part of the electrical plan rather than an afterthought cut in later. One business, one coordinated layout.
EV ready, even if the car comes later
Planning the charger position, cable route and board capacity during the build can reduce avoidable retrofitting through finished walls later. We plan for the charger whether or not you install one now.
Every install is tested before handover, and the installation work carries our five-year warranty.
EV charger installation
Installing a charger at home is electrical work, so it is done under licence like any other circuit.
Part of the job is checking that your switchboard and existing wiring can carry it, which is the step that decides what the install actually involves. Tell us the charger you have in mind, or ask and we will talk it through.
How we work
We tell you what the job needs. If something is urgent you will hear that. If it can wait, you will hear that too.
Cable runs get planned before anything is cut. Fittings go on straight. What we move gets put back. Installation work carries a five-year warranty.

What electrical work can CoolTech complete for a new home?

When should an electrician be involved in a new home project?
Before the walls are closed. Once plans exist, an electrician can set out lighting, power and circuit requirements so cabling is run at the right stage of the build. Late changes mean opening finished surfaces, which costs more and shows.
Can CoolTech coordinate electrical and Air Conditioning work together?
Yes. CoolTech is one licensed business covering both trades, so the circuits, the switchboard capacity and the Air Conditioning system are planned together rather than passed between two contractors.
When should an existing switchboard be assessed?
Have the board assessed when you are adding significant load such as Air Conditioning or an EV charger, when fuses or breakers trip regularly, or when the board still uses ceramic fuses. An assessment tells you whether the board has the space and protection the work needs.
What information helps with an electrical quote?
Describe the work, tell us your suburb or postcode, and add photos of the switchboard or the area involved if you can. Photos usually let us price the job without a preliminary visit. Every quote is free.

How much does an electrician cost in Sydney?
It depends on the work: replacing a power point, upgrading a switchboard and rewiring a house are very different jobs. Rather than quoting a rate that hides the real answer, CoolTech quotes each job for free, and the quote sets out the price and exactly what is included. Describe the work and add photos and you will usually have an accurate price without a preliminary visit.
